City travel with Emily
A great city.
Your own way to see it.
A lovely place to stay, a few plans worth making, and enough time to wander.
More than a list of sights
You don’t have to see everything to have a wonderful city break. Start with a hotel in an area you’ll enjoy, choose a few experiences that matter to you, and leave room for discoveries along the way.
I’ll help you put those pieces together, whether you’re planning a first visit to Paris or looking for another city escape.
How we’ll shape your stay
- Your hotel base: neighborhood, room style, budget, and the amenities you care about.
- Your daily pace: how much walking, sightseeing, and downtime feels right.
- Your interests: food, museums, shopping, architecture, or simply being somewhere new.
- The practical details: arrival plans, ticketed experiences, and realistic time between stops.
Start with Paris
Our four-day Paris sample balances a few classic sights with cafés and neighborhood time. Hôtel Monge and Hôtel d’Aubusson are two hotel ideas to explore, with rooms and rates checked for your dates.

Choose the neighborhood before the room
The hotel you return to each evening is part of the trip, but so is what’s outside its door. Our Paris guide compares three starting areas and the questions to ask before choosing an address.
Common planning questions
How many nights should I spend in one city?
Start with your arrival time, must-see experiences, and preferred pace. A short stay needs fewer fixed plans, especially when an overnight flight is involved.
Do I need to book every day in advance?
No. Prioritize experiences with timed entry or limited availability, then leave some flexible time around them.
Can we add a city stay before or after a cruise?
We can look at that. The best combination depends on the cruise ports, flight routes, and how much extra travel you want.
